It is time to let God position you for your purpose
By Session 3:14, 23/03/2026
Monday Devotional
There is actually 3 parts of this writing : 1)My testimony, 2)the teaching about marriage/ministry (will come soon), 3)the message of positioning yourself for purpose.
I made an introduction as an example for the message that is : It’s time to let God position yourself for your purpose.
Lately I’ve thinking more and more about marriage. And today, I was reaaaally thinking about it, asked God about it, prayed and was interceding for it, etc. The thing is, it was not the usual thing like when I pray for my family + if I think about it, I also pray for my future marriage and future kids etc. No, for a couple of days now, I do think about it actively, like everyday, and I pray for it daily ; asking God to cover him, his family, asking God to transform my character and his, to deepen my faith and his, etc !
And as I was getting ready to go out, I was mad about myself for only thinking about marriage and talking to God only about it.
For context, in this season of singleness, my goal is to be anchored in Christ, put Him first in every single detail of my life, built my relationship with Him first, before letting someone in. Because when I love, I loooove, I do not want my husband to be my idol. I know that if I had my husband now, I will put him before God, and that is not what I want and that is against what Yahweh says : « Exodus 20:17 : You shall have no other gods before me ».
Idolizing marriage
For a long time I idolized marriage, although I have never been in love. My traumas refrained me from being emotionally vulnerable with men (emphasis on emotionally, I will talk about physically later on). I actually prayed so the only man that I’ll be in love with is my husband (careful what you wish for 😂) ! And later I even prayed to be invisible to men except for my husband.
I’ve always wanted marriage for the wrong reasons, I idealized and idolized marriage because I told myself I will only be fully loved in this context, only then I will have intimacy (not only sex but something deeper), somewhere I could just be me and he will love me for me, and I could love like I love to love…fully and truly without fear of being hurt, because he will be someone who would never hurt me, who would never let me down etc. I idealized and idolized the version in my head of a husband that wasn’t real (because no one is perfect). I wanted the perfect relationship, with the perfect man. You got it, I just described a relationship with God. I lacked the purest form of love, something that God already gave me, even before I was born. The Bible said that « God knew you even before you were in the womb of your mother »- Jeremiah 1:5. God was already there loving me but I didn’t want to be loved by Him and I didn’t love Him the way I wanted to love. And to fill this lack of love, I went elsewhere… LUST.
Craving lust is actually wanting intimacy
People who struggle with lust[1] (sexual immorality, gluttony, greed, power etc) are people that need intimacy[2], people who need love; but they feed this craving with things (all things really, except God), while never being satisfied because you always want more. Instead of going to the source of love and have intimacy with God, you seek something that will never fulfill you, because it will never be enough, because only God is enough !
Intimacy with God
And so God worked through me (and is still working btw) to remove all of it. As for now I want my time alone with my Baba, I want Him to use me, to transform me and to mold me into what I need to be for His plan. Of course I want to get married and have kids, but it is not the end of the story, the end goal of my life. That is why I wanted to stay close to my Father in Heaven and cherish those moments with Him, build more before my husband enter the picture.
Calling for a mission
But Papa God revealed to me : position yourself as his wife !
I got scared. I panicked. At some point, I even thought I was imagining everything, because yes — I had wanted this for so long, but now that it’s actually here, I can hardly believe it. Even when God kept giving me confirmation after confirmation, part of me stayed in denial. Not because I didn’t want it, but because I was afraid to receive it. I realized I didn’t want it unless it was perfect. Unless I was perfect. Unless I felt completely ready, completely sure, completely in control. And the truth is… I’m not. And that scares me. It’s strange, because this is something I’ve always prayed for, always hoped for, always dreamed about. But now that it’s real, I find myself wanting to stay hidden a little longer, wanting to stay closer to God, almost like I’m asking Him to wait… Not because I don’t want the blessing, but one I want the relationship with God more than that - and two ; because I’m afraid of messing it up. There’s this obsession with perfection, this feeling that if everything is not exactly right, I’ll ruin what God is giving me. So instead of running toward it, I hesitated, I questioned, I overthinked. Not because I don’t trust Him (kind of)… but because I’m scared that I’m not good enough to carry what I asked for (lack of trust).
And maybe the real lesson here is learning that God doesn’t wait for perfection to give His promises. He gives them, and then He walks with you while you grow into them.
God fathering me
As I’m still doubting, He says that : « You can do both ! Build a relationship with Me/build character and position yourself as a wife ! Stop limiting my Might ! I am not bound by your timeline. I am not limited by your feeling of readiness. I can change you in less than 2 years if the plan I have for you requires it, even in less than 6 months ! But you don’t know the plans I have for you ! Who are you to say that you are not ready ? Do you think I, the Lord, could not make it happen ? When the time is right, I, the LORD, will make it happen ( Isaiah 60:22 ) ». That is a promise God made to me, and I have to trust it. I have to put this obsession with perfection to the side so I can live fully in the present and not in the false future momentum of « when the time will be right to me ». Because the truth is, that moment may never look the way you imagine it. God is asking you to position yourself now, to obey now, to trust now. Not in the false momentum of “when the time will be right for you,” but in the certainty of “When the time is right, I, the LORD, will make it happen.” And if He said He will do it, then your job is not to be perfect but to be faithful in the present.
Marriage is your first ministry
And, when I was mad at myself, about praying for marriage, God told me that : « the reason you are thinking about it now (minus casting out thoughts of lust or limerence[3]), is « because it is one of your assignment for this season, because marriage is your first ministry and since I told you that you are getting married, you need to prepare for It ! ».
NB : first ministry yes, but not chronologically !
Soooooo I asked myself : « what is the meaning of ministry ? You know what is it, but do you know what is it ? » and The Lord revealed to me that « ministry is serving God by serving people ». I checked the definition and the teaching about it will arrive soon.
[1] Lust is an intense, often uncontrollable, craving or desire. (sexual immorality, drugs, gluttony, greed, power etc)
[2] Intimacy is a deep, multifaceted connection involving emotional closeness, vulnerability, and trust, often described as "into-me-see". It goes beyond physical touch to include sharing inner worlds, fostering security, and reducing stress. True intimacy requires reciprocity, safety, and open communication to build, often strengthening bonds through shared experiences
[3] Limerence is an involuntary state of intense romantic infatuation, obsession, and emotional dependency on another person. Characterized by intrusive thoughts, idealization, and a desperate desire for reciprocation, it differs from mature love by being more obsessive, unstable, and often based on fantasy rather than reality.)
How to position yourself
I thought that I wasn’t ready for marriage, I honestly still not feel ready btw. But if God says so, all fears I have (is not from Him), need to be submitted to God !
In order to aim to an assignment God gave you, to fulfill your purpose, you have to :
1) change your heart posture :
I argued with God because I felt like I wasn’t ready and I got scared because of what He revealed to me and I felt not ready, unqualified, not equipped at all.
► The Lord led me today to Jeremiah chapter 1. It is literally the argument I had with God 😂 (go read it, down below) : For context, Jeremiah 1 talks about the calling and mission of Jeremiah : Even if God told Jeremiah that He created him for his calling and his mission and that He knew J even before He made him in the womb of his mother : «5 Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations. »
Our friend J argued with God saying that : « “I do not know how to speak; I am too young.”when God didn’t even told Him to go yet, He just said his calling and his mission. Like for J, God just revealed to me the idea of marriage. I am not dating anyone nor talking to someone, nor have a crush on someone. If you know me, when you talk to me about men, my face says it all, I’m just saying yikes (the Lord revealed to me that as a christian, that’s not good btw 🙃). So, He did not told me to « go » yet, that I was already panicking, having thoughts of fear in my mind.
See, all of this are lies of the enemy and you need to replace the lies by the truth !
The bible says that :
For the lie of feeling unready → « For I am the alpha and the omega, the beginning and the end »
Your creator, the one who knows your life from even before you were born is calling you for greater purpose. Do not panic I beg O !
« But the Lord said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. »-Jeremiah 1:7
=> If God says let’s go, it is time to go ! Your are ready for Him ! Do not forget that your identity is in Him.
FYI : you will never feel ready !!!
For the lie of feeling unqualified→ « He qualifies the unqualified »
In the Bible many felt that way when God called them for their purpose, for their missions : Moses doubted his ability to lead due to his stuttering (Exodus 3-4), Jeremiah told God that « 6 I do not know how to speak, for I am only a youth"(ESV), highlighting Jeremiah’s feeling of inadequacy, youthfulness, and fear after God called him to be a prophet (Jeremiah 1:6), Paul even begged God to remove his infirmity because he felt not enough.
For the lie of not feeling equipped → Jireh blesses you
God always equipped you and reinforce you in order for you to do your purpose.
He gave to Moses, Aaron (to be the spokesman), He put words in Jeremiah’s mouth (Jeremiah 1:9), He reinforced Paul in his weakness, …
All of that in order for you to walk in authority in your purpose. Jireh (the God who provides), provides you anything you need (not want) to fulfill your mission. God blesses you ! A blessing is the impartation of God’s favor, grace, and life-producing power to flourish, prosper, and fulfill your purpose.
He will not be a good Father if He let you like that without anything.
→ « I can do all things trough Christ who strengthens me »
In 1 Corinthians 1:26-28, Paul explains that God chose the weak, demonstrating His power (not human capability) achieves results.
God showed us trough them that our weaknesses does not matter for His plan, because His Glory and His Might and His Grace is enough and is more powerful than anything and anyone on Earth.
For the lie of fear → « do not be afraid for, I am with you, says the Lord »
8 Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord.
For the lie of messing things up →
Jeremiah 1:11-12 : « … The Lord said to me, “You have seen correctly, for I am watching[b] to see that my word is fulfilled.” The word watching in the French version is « veiller » meaning « watching over », « looking after ». God tells you that whatever happens, He is in control, He is watching over you and your purpose. He tells you that He is with you so the promise He made you will be fulfilled, because God is not a liar, He will keep His promises. I even heard someday that God already planned your stupidity in your process so you will be fine, keep Him close.
Conclusion : Change your heart posture by saying yes to God and no to you ! The bible said to put our heart into the right posture, even if the mission feels to much for you, even if the situation that you are in right now is not ideal, even chaotic, the bible said : "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. »-Proverbs 3:5-6 . That is a promise that God makes you !
God did not argue about Moses, Jeremiah, Paul or your qualifications but assured them and us of His presence, demonstrating that God provides the capacity to fulfill the call.
2) step 2 : Position yourself to fly
Position yourself for your purpose/missions.
Stay close to God, ask Him to transform you and to mold you into what you need to be for His plan. Ask Him so nothing and no one even not you, can crash out the plan He has for you. Ask Him to reveal every single darkness in you (trust me He will), every little wound, every secret, every things that keeps you from Him, that keeps you from doing your missions, ask Him to expose your idols in your life, the area of unforgiveness, etc
The goal is to be more like Christ, to positioned yourself into the plan He wants ! It will not be comfortable but Jesus wants to do surgery in your heart, to remove all that is not like Him, nor from Him. Because He loves you.
Like a plane position itself into the right lane before the takeoff. Even before that : The pilot and the crew actually have a preflight inspection « walk-around » to check the airframe, the engines, the fuel and the controls. The crew reviews the flight plans, the cleaniness and the interior security, and if the systems are activated. All of that are required in order to have a safe flight and to arrive at destination. It is preparation ! And every single details, needs to be confirmed and checked on the final checklist before the go. Fly : the check list is not provided by the crew but by the airplane company btw!
Once preflight preparation is complete, the Airport control towers (manage aircraft and vehicle movements on runways, to ensure safe takeoff, landing, and ground operations) gives the GO for the plane to be in movement.
Only then, the aircraft is towed (pushed back) from the gate, the engines are started, and the plane position itself to fly by going to the runway.
3)Prepare for it
Next one coming soon
4)do it through Christ
All of it is a process !
Conclusion :
It’s time to let God position yourself for your purpose, your missions !
Yahweh is telling you : “Get yourself ready! Stand up and say to them whatever I command you. Do not be terrified by them,… » -Jeremiah 1:17
